Full description

A group of three cairns on Greenbarrow Downs. Presumably the name 'Greenbarrow' refers to one of the cairns, but it is uncertain which. Two of the cairns (1634.1 and 1634.2) are shown on OS maps of 1813, 1907 and 1963 (b1, b2, b3) and were surveyed by the OS in 1973 (h1); but the third was not located until the RCHM survey of the 1980s (h2, h3, b4). The two Scheduled cairns are substantial rimmed platform cairns, the third is much smaller and probably a simple platform.
