Full description
At least six concrete buildings or structures are visible on air photographs (p1) and were plotted as part of the NMP. These are the gun emplacements and ancillary buildings of the WW2 Emergency Coastal Battery overlooking Par harbour. Some of the structures are still extant (A.Cocks, pers comm). It is also recorded in the Defence of Britain project as AH 317. The associated two searchlight houses (166838 and 166833) and engine room (166838) still survive (N Johnson pers comm).
