Full description
Masonry piers of the original Cornwall Railway timber viaduct of 1859 at 278m 49c. A Class A viaduct one mile (1.6 km) west of Lostwithiel. 75 feet (23 m) high, 501 feet (153 m) long on 7 piers; replaced by a new stone viaduct in 1894 (b2). The surviving piers are in good condition, and are of both buttressed and unbuttressed types. They are built of bedded slatestone with dressed granite quoins (JRS).
