Full description

This is the probable site of Respryn Platform, a private station built for the Robartes family of Lanhydrock House by the Cornwall Railway which opened on 4th May 1859 and served temporarily as the station for Bodmin until Bodmin Road opened a month later. It closed in 1864, and the Robartes family then used the station at Bodmin Road. An access lane survives, leading down to the railway, but the station is not mapped on the 1st Edition OS of c1880.(h1).
