Full description
An aqueduct carrying the now dry Bude canal over the River Tamar to the east of Burmsdon. Built in 1821 by James Green, engineer to the Bude Canal. In 1985 EH Listed the structure grade II and described it as freestone rubble with segmental brick arch. It is a single-span aqueduct and the parapets have been dismantled. Part of the brick facing to one arch has collapsed (b1). The aqueduct is now in a poor state of repair and requires urgent remedial work (b2).
