Full description
A semi-Gothic latin cross set over a granite archway in the garden wall, on the left hand side of the main front entrance of Cotehele House, is noted but not seen by Ellis. It is of octagonal section and consists of the head, arms and small portion of shaft (b1). It may have originally been a gable cross or finial of the chapel. The cross measures 0.635m in height, width of head 0.405m, width of shaft 0.203m (b2).
