Full description
The only remaining toll house on the Creed to Ruan Lanihorne trust, is this much extended building at Fair Cross in Creed. The entrance facing the road has been partially blocked up to form a window. It is located on the road from Sticker to Tregony, the major feeder road from the east into the Roseland peninsula, on a corner junction where several lanes feed across from Grampound. It is probably of stone construction, but is now rendered and has a slate roof. It is recorded on the 1st Edition 1:2500 OS map c1880 (b1).
