Full description
A bridge carrying the line of the Cornwall Railway over a public road at 294m 33c. The bridge is of squared local slatestone, with an elliptical skew brick arch. The arch has six courses of orange local hand-made brick, with hounds-tooth detailing where the arch springs from the impost. The stone parapets appear to be original. Ramped masonry wing walls are incurving to the arch. The bridge is an impressive example of an elliptical skew arch from I K Brunel's design office (JRS).
