Full description
A bridge carrying the line of the Cornwall Railway over the public road at 300m 5c. The bridge is of bedded slatestone masonry, and has an elliptical skew arch with rusticated cut stone voussoirs. The arch is chamfered to the acute angle of the skew. There is a prominent corbelled ashlar string course above the arch, and a low stone parapet with dressed stone coping. Slatestone ramped wing walls are coped and straight-jointed to the abutments. A particularly fine and complete example of an original CR bridge (JRS).
