Full description
A bridge carrying the line of the Cornwall Railway over a farm lane at 288m 18c. The bridge is of squared masonry with an elliptical stone arch having cut stone voussoirs. There is a dressed string course above the arch and a coped stone parapet. Ramped wing walls meet the abutments with a straight joint. Probably built at the request of the Hon Anna Maria Agar, as the land here was part of the Lanhydrock estate. The bridge has been widened on the north side with riveted iron girders on stone abutments. The deck on this side is formed with brick vaulting between the girders, and there is a rusticated stone parapet above. (JRS).
