Full description
A bridge carrying the line of the Cornwall Railway over a farm lane at 306m 53c. The bridge is built of rubble masonry with a round arch. It has rusticated cut granite voussoirs and quoins, with incurving wing walls which flow smoothly into the arch. There is no parapet, and the bridge was built to double-track width (9m). Probably built by Samuel Garratt (contractor) as part of the first phase of the Famouth line, 1853-54. (JRS).
