Full description

A bridge carrying the line of the Cornwall Railway over the public road at 309m 2c. The bridge is of large squared granite blocks, and has a tall parabolic skew arch with spiral stone courses set on a horizontal springing line. The arch has cut stone voussoirs with, unusually, a projecting keystone to the centre. A later brick parapet has been added above the original single-course finish coping. There are incurving wing walls which are set forward from the arch. A particularly fine example of a CR bridge (JRS).
