Full description
A bridge carrying the line of the Cornwall Railway over the public road at 309m 50c. The bridge is of squared masonry, with cut stone voussoirs and a simple round arch of horseshoe form. There is no formal parapet, and there are incurving wing walls which are set-forward from the arch. The bridge was originally built to single-track width (5m), but has been widened on the NE side with a brick arch. This was probably done as part of the 1934 Collegewood viaduct rebuilding, in order to realign the track after it left the viaduct in the down direction (JRS).
