Full description
A bridge carrying the line of the Cornwall Railway over a lane at 277m 63c. The original bridge is of bedded slatestone with vertical abutments and ramped wing walls, and was built to single-track width. This has been widened at a later date with ashlar granite masonry and the abutments raised, probably to support a steel girder span. The present bridge is a modern concrete beam structure. From the style of the older part, and the fact that it was built for single-track, it would seem probable that this is not an original CR bridge, but a later insertion (JRS).
