Full description
A bridge carrying the line of the Cornwall Railway over the River Fowey at 277m 51c. The bridge is a modern welded plate girder structure on masonry piers, and the up and down lines are separated at this point, each having its own span. The Fowey branch had its own bridge immediately adjacent, but this has now been removed. The original CR bridge had wrought iron girders over the river, and a series of queen-post timber spans on the southern, landward, side. One of the stone piers for this timber structure appears to survive (JRS).
