Full description

A Visick type two standard cast iron fingerpost survives on the SW side of an unclassified staggered junction, Amytree. The column is round in plan, tapered with CORNWALL vertical below the central column ring. There are three sleeve arms with and ogee ball and pyramid finial. The three arms are rectangle, rounded corners, the bottom arm TIDEFORD 5 over ST GERMANS 7; middle arm CALLINGTON NEW BRIDGE 1½ over LISKEARD and the top arm PILLATON 2 over LANDRAKE 5 over SALTASH 7.
Livery all white with the lettering, mid column ring on the column, raised edge, lettering and numerical on the arms, and the whole finial picked out in black (3).
The fingerpost or guide post (GP) at this location is not recorded on either the 1st or 2nd Edition 1:2500 OS map c1880 and c1907 (1&2).
