Full description
The lighthouse on the end of the South Pier, Newlyn Harbour, is recorded on the Ordnance Survey second edition 1:2500 map (1) and is extant on modern mapping (2). The lighthouse is a Secondary Light. This 'lead in' light is an un-manned white, round, cast iron tower with a red base and cupola. The light is a white flash every five seconds, visible ten miles, over an arc of 83 degrees to the south east. There is a fog horn giving one blast every minute (3).
