Full description
Henderson records that when Borlase visited Treludderow in 1755 there was nothing of antiquity worth notice except a stone carved like a pedestal, with a square socket on the top of it as if to receive either a statue or a cross. On front of it in a niche was Our Saviour on the cross - a thief on each hand. In each of the other three sides was a single image, possibly the Virgin Mother, St John and the other Mary. The stone was 2ft high (b1, b2). In 1970, the OS surveyor reported that nothing is known about a cross at Treludderow and none of the field names suggests a cross site here (h1).
