During 1902/3 a short length of banquette was disturbed by the construction of a Royal Artllery store, a 10ft x 10ft x 7ft high brick built room with concrete roof, heated by a small stove, designed to house the breeches and removable parts of the quick fire guns at Carrick Mount Bastion when not 'stood to'. The artillery store is now buried and the north doorway blocked (1).
