Full description

A reading and writing room, a temporary building of corrugated iron or wood, was probably constrcuted in 1902 to serve the new artillery barracks. A building is shown in this position on the 1910 Ordnance Survey map when its function is first identified. The description and building are scratched out (but just readable) on a drawing by Her Majesty's Office of Works in 1932, when its function may have been transferred to a room in Storehouse C (1).
