Summary
A small building beside the back gate passage and behind the Back Gate Platform first appears on Lilly's survey of 1715 called the 'gunners storeroom'. This feature disappeared between the surveys of 1811 and 1821. 74 years later a similar feature was incorporated into the reconstructed postern passage.

A small building beside the back gate passage and behind the Back Gate Platform first appears on Lilly's survey of 1715 called the 'gunners storeroom'. This feature disappeared between the surveys of 1811 and 1821. 74 years later a similar feature was incorporated into the reconstructed postern passage (1).
