Summary
Between 1949 and 1955 various radar vans can be seen parked in the salient of the bastion in oblique aerial photographs. Diagrams in the Fort Record Book for Half Moon indicate that such an arrangement also existed during wartime. Today the parapet has been virtually obliterated along the south face. This alteration may relate to its radar platform function.
