Full description
A laundry was built in 1901/2 to serve the married soldiers' quarters built nearby. It was built to the rear, cut in, further up slope, containing a wash-house, ironing room and drying closet. The complex was lit by gas from the town supply and water was provided by a nearby watertower. The laundry has subsequently been demolished (1).
