A single storey concrete flat roofed building with heavy steel door located to the north of the lunette was demolished during the construction of the Ships and Castles Leisure Pool in 1992. It may have been a valve house for the oil tanks below or possibly a small early twentieth-century magazine for expense or small arms ammunition (1).
