Concrete junction box installed by November 1941 for connecting up buried and submerged telephone cables allowing communication between the new 6-pdr twin quick-fire batteries and the wider fortress infrastructure. Similar structures at St Mawes Castle and Carricknath Point demolished between 1957 and 1990 (1).
