Full description
A new concrete searchlight emplacement was built at the outbreak of World War Two on the site of an earlier searchlight emplacement which was within a wooden hut. It was camoflauged to resemble this earlier structure so that from the air the German observers would see no changes on the Point.
The new emplacement was first operated in 1941. All emplacements have subsequently been demolished leaving only footings (1).
