Full description
New Bridge over the River Allen (New Bridge Street, Truro) is recorded on the 1st Edition 1:2500 OS map c1880. It was built c1773 to replace a ford at this point (see 18914) which had become unsafe (b1). In 1973 EH listed the structure and described it as granite ashlar, with a single segmental arch (b3). The OS describe it as in good condition, but not impressive (h1).
