Full Description

Cast iron finger post surmounted by a ball. The ends of the arms are shaped to appear similar to a pointing finger. 'DCC / 1926' is recorded on the post. (1)

The photograph attached to source 1 is undated, but it is clear from Google Streetview that the finger post has been painted since it was taken. The post is now painted with black and white horizontal stripes. The two arms are painted white with black lettering. One reads 'EYAM HALL, CHURCH / & MUSEUM', the other 'RILEY GRAVES / & / MOMPESSON'S WELL' (2)
