Full description
JONES, Untitled Source (Migrated Record). SDV23870.
Exminster parish church. Tablet to the memory of bernard prince of abbey, a farmhouse built on the site of the cistertian abbey of newenham, erected by his son, john prince, in 1709. Bernard prince died in 1689. Inscription: "in / memoriam / dilectissimi patris / bernadi prince gen. Si. / nuper de abby, & mariae crocker, / uxoris ejus lmae. De lyneham oriundae: et janae drake, uxoris ejus 2dae ex longo / stemmate natae; hoc monumentum pie= / tatis ergo johes prince a. M. Olim / vicarius de totnes, nunc de / berry pomeray, dti bernadi / et mariae filius, mae= / rens posuit / 1709. " (jones).
