A dark curvilinear cropmark, up to 3 metres wide and covering a maximum visible extent of 30 by 65 metres, is visible on specialist oblique aerial photographs taken in 1959. It has been interpreted as having formed over the northern part of a probable later prehistoric or Roman curvilinear enclosure ditch which may have extended to the other side of the road on the south. A deep road cutting in this location probably destroyed this particular site. This feature was formerly recorded with a rectilinear cropmark immediately to the south (MDV112948), with which it may be associated, and a broad curvilinear cropmark to the east (MDV112949).
