Pair of attached police houses. Dated 1869. Built by the Bedford Estate. Stone rubble with granite dressings. Slate roofs with gabled ends. Stone axial and gable-end stacks with set-offs and moulded caps.
Plan: L-shaped on plan with cross-wing on right [north] extending to rear. Tudor style.
Exterior: two storeys. Asymmetrical three-window south-east front with slightly advanced gabled bay on right and small gables over centre and left bays; windows have chamfered granite frames and casements with glazing bars; right-hand gable has tablet inscribed 1869 with letter B and coronet above. Rear facing police station, wing on left rendered on first floor. Interior not inspected.
Built by the Seventh Duke of Bedford to serve the adjacent police station.
