Hegarty, C. + Knight, S., 2011 - 2012, North Devon Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV349018.

A linear bank approximately 2 metres in width is visible as an earthwork on an aerial photograph taken in 1946. No field boundary is shown in this location on the 1844 Tithe map, and it is possible that this bank is the remains of an earlier field boundary that fell into disuse before 1844. The field pattern is characterised as of medieval origin and it is possible that this bank is medieval in origin. It is not visible on any later available aerial photographs, and its survival is not known.
