Earthworks of narrow ridge and furrow are visible on aerial photographs, within two north facing fields to the east of Little Barton Farm, Hartland, centred on circa SS 24142371 and SS24282366. They are clearly visible on aerial photographs dating from 1946 to 2007.
In the western field the ridges are aligned roughly north to south and are approximately 5 metres apart. In the eastern field the ridges are spaced approximately 4 metres and are aligned roughly north-east to south-west. The ridges were probably made for agricultural improvement and drainage in the later post-medieval or modern periods.
