Earthwork ridge and furrow are visible.

Hegarty, C. + Knight, S., 2011 - 2012, North Devon Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV349018.

Earthworks of narrow ridge and furrow are visible on aerial photographs, within four fields centred on circa SS22682215, SS22732219, SS22732209 and SS22812218, on the north facing slopes at the south-eastern point of Milford Common.
The majority of the ridges are aligned roughly north to south and are approximately 5-6 metres apart. The ridges were probably made for agricultural improvement and drainage in the later post-medieval or modern periods, an interpretation supported by their situation surrounding the point where a spring-fed stream rises, at circa SS 22692213.
The earthworks are clearly visible on aerial photographs dating from 1946 and are still partly visible on Ordnance Survey aerial photography of 1978.
