A possible former field boundary of probable modern date is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs of April 1946, circa 450 metres to the south-east of Elmscott Farm, Hartland. The cropmark is not visible on aerial photographs of Jun 1959 and later, and by May 1978 the surrounding field boundaries have been removed, which might indicate the now engrossed fields have been further improved.
