Earthworks of narrow ridge and furrow are visible on aerial photographs, within two fields to the south of Goldenpark Farm, Hartland, centred on circa SS 22842005 and SS 23022006, overlooking the steep south facing slopes of an unnamed combe. The areas of improvement flank a spring-fed stream which rises between them, whilst a second spring rises to the south-east of the easternmost field. Although varied in their orientation, the majority of the ridges appear to be aligned to facilitate drainage into these streams. They appear to be substantial earthworks, on average 5-6 metres wide, which remain visible on aerial photographs taken in 2007.
