Narrow ridge and furrow earthworks, probably created for post-medieval or modern agricultural improvement and drainage, is visible on aerial photographs dating from the 1940s as banks and gulleys to the west of Swanton Farm. The earthworks can be seen across a small rectilinear field approximately 0.5 hectares in area, orientated roughly north to south. By 1966 development has begun within the field, possibly an expansion of Swanton Farm, and the earthworks are no longer visible.
