Narrow ridge and furrow, probably created for post-medieval or modern agricultural improvement and drainage, is visible as earthwork banks and gulleys on aerial photographs dating from the 1940s to the 1970s, centred on circa SS36262289, some 200 metres to the north of Watershute Farm, Parkham parish.
The earthworks can be seen across a small rectilinear field approximately 0.27 hectares in area, orientated roughly north-east to south-west. The field is depicted as rough or unimproved ground on the Ordnance Survey first edition 25inch map of 1880s-1890s, which might support the interpretation that the visible improvements were installed after this date.
By 1971 the earthworks appear to have been reduced in height and on the most recent aerial photography available to the survey are no longer clearly identifiable.
