A rectangular earthwork platform is visible on aerial photographs of 1946 to the west of Watershute farm, Parkham. The earthwork is divided by a narrow ditch or gulley, defining two smaller rectangular earthwork platforms, possibly the remains of building platforms of medieval date. The earthworks abut the line of a former curvilinear field boundary on their western side, removed at some time between the publication of the Ordnance Survey first edition 25inch map and 1946. The earthworks are not clearly visible on aerial photographs of 1971 or later, but Lidar images indicate an earthwork survives in this location.
