Narrow ridge and furrow earthworks, probably created for post-medieval or modern agricultural improvement and drainage, is visible on aerial photographs dating from the 1940s as banks and gulleys to the southwest of Higher Down, Parkham. The earthworks are relatively subtle, highlighted largely out by the growth of scrub along the low banks. The earthworks can be seen across a small rectilinear field approximately 0.8 hectares in area, orientated roughly north-west to south-east. They are most recently visible on aerial photographs of 1978
