A double banked oval enclosure of probable later prehistoric date is visible as substantial earthworks on aerial photographs from 1946 to 1979, centred on circa SS39752208, east of Parkham Cross. The enclosure is situated in a commanding position, on a steep north-facing combe slope, overlooking the valley floor at the confluence of the River Yeo and a tributary flowing from the south.
The enclosure comprised an inner embanked rectilinear enclosure measuring circa 95 by 40 metres in size, an external ditch approximately 6 metres wide, enclosed by a second external bank. This outer bank is visible only on the southern half of the enclosure, the northern and eastern boundaries being absorbed into later field boundaries. The enclosure has been largely levelled by modern agricultural activity since 1979, although very slight earthworks remain visible on aerial photographs of 2002.
