A network of straight ditches, less than 2 metres in width, is visible as earthworks across three fields on aerial photographs between 1946 and 1959. The ditches are aligned approximately cross-contour from east to west, either side of a valley. The land appears to be otherwise unimproved, and is symbolised as rough ground, with no ditches depicted, on the 1904-1906 Ordnance Survey mapping. The ditches are interpreted as part of a field drainage system dating to the twentieth century, for improvement of semi-natural grassland. They are not visible on later available aerial photographs and have probably been levelled.
