No field boundary is depicted in this location.

A possible former field boundary of medieval date is visible as a curvilinear cropmark on aerial photographs of 1979, to the south the country house of Portledge. No field boundary is depicted in this location on the circa 1837 tithe map of Alwington, therefore any field boundary must have been removed prior to this date, perhaps as park of the enparkment of farmland surrounding Portledge.
