A curvilinear bank circa 5.5 metres wide with a ditch circa 3 metres wide on its eastern side is visible as an earthwork on images derived from Lidar data flown in 2007, although part in the centre is obscured by trees. A bank is visible on aerial photographs dating to 1978, in areas where tree cover is least dense. A field boundary is depicted here on the 1840 Tithe map, and the earthworks visible on the Lidar imagery are likely to be the bank of the park pale, which is marked in this location on modern mapping. Earthwork remains of the feature are not visible further to the south where tree cover has obscured the ground surface.

Ordnance Survey, 2012, MasterMap (Cartographic). SDV348725.

The field boundary is depicted and named 'park pale'.
