Hegarty, C. + Knight, S., 2011 - 2012, North Devon Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV349018.

A curvilinear bank, 65 metres in length, circa 3 metres wide and aligned approximately north to south, is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1946. It is almost certainly a former field boundary of medieval or post-medieval date and is contiguous with boundaries to the north and south that were removed between 1959 and 1978, when the land was improved for agricultural production. It is not depicted on the 1840 Tithe map so presumably became disused before the mid nineteenth century. It is possible that slight earthworks survive.
