A circular ditched enclosure of unknown but possibly later prehistoric date is visible on aerial photographs of 1946 as a cropmark on the gentle north facing slopes of Milford Common, Hartland parish. The cropmark is not visible on later aerial photgraphs available to the survey. The cropmark is faint and somewhat fragementary, appearing on average less than one metre wide, but it does appear to enclose a substantial area, approaching 50 metres in diameter at its widest point. Due to the difficulties involved in rectifying aerial photographs in coastal locations, the transcribed feature may be up to 10 metres from its true location and further investigation is needed to accurately locate the possible enclosure.
