Vis=23/3/1989 (robinson) site lies on raised level area in valley, with steep scarps on n and w. Good defensive site. No visible earthworks (dprfp).

South of kenton mill house, a large definite enclosure is shown on cambridge air photographs. A roughly square central enclosure, of circa 60m side, is surrounded by two, possibly three, outer ditches. All have an entrance gap in the east side (griffith).

A rectilinear enclosure of probable prehistoric to Romano-British date is visible as a series of cropmark ditches on oblique aerial photographs of 1984 onwards and on digital images derived from aerial photographs taken in 2006, to the southwest of Mill Farm. The enclosure is sited within an area of level, raised ground which slopes gently down further to the north and east towards the River Kenn. The enclosure measures approximately 60m in length by 50m in width, is well defined in form with sub-rounded corners and an entranceway to the east. A number of possible internal features, including two possible sub-circular cropmark pits, are also visible. A series of outlying cropmark ditches suggest that this enclosure may at some stage have been triple-ditched. An additional rectilinear cropmark enclosure is also located immediately to the south (MDV17729), although this enclosure is slightly more different in form and with an opposing west-facing entrance. A number of outlying cropmark features were also recorded within this area, however, it was largely unclear with which enclosure these features may have been associated with.

Further linears are shown. Boundaries depicted on the Tithe map are also evident. Bronze Age to Post-medieval in date.
