A building approximately 15 metres by 6 metres is visible as a structure on aerial photographs between 1945 and 1975. Oblique aerial photographs taken in 1960 suggest that the building had an open front facing inland and a roof that sloped seawards. It is therefore interpreted as a grandstand for the cricket ground, although it is possible that it served a secondary, military function in the Second World War. It appears to have been removed between 1975 and 1980 and no remains are visible on later aerial photographs.
