Hegarty, C. + Knight, S., 2011 - 2012, North Devon Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV349018.

A small structure roughly three metres square is visible on aerial photographs taken from 1946 to 1959 adjacent to a trackway on Braunton Great Field. The structure is visible as a very pale feature, and although first visible on aerial photographs of 1946 might be a concrete pillbox of Second World War date. It cannot be seen on aerial photographs of 1964 indicating it was probably removed between 1959 and 1954. It is one of several possible Second World War structures located on the Great Field.
