The buildings are shown on the Ordnance Survey Town map of 1855-1895.

Both properties are occupied by shops and storage areas. The initial inspection appeared to suggest that most of the existing buildings are of relatively modern date. The upper floors were not seen. The main areas of interest are the boundary walls (MDV63398 and MDV63400) to the south and east which contain evidence of previously demolished buildings.
